General Dentistry
Adrian Bunescu
Adrian graduated from the University of Timisoara in 2005 and has worked in both NHS and private dentistry in the UK since 2011. After initially practising in Pembrokeshire, he moved to the South West in 2013 and has since worked across Bristol and Somerset, with a particular interest in restorative and minimally invasive dentistry. He holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Orthodontics from Cardiff and has attended numerous advanced courses and international congresses across the UK, Europe and the USA.
Adrian has a keen interest in prosthodontics, aligner orthodontics and modern biomimetic dentistry, with a strong emphasis on preserving natural teeth wherever possible. Adrian believes in a multidisciplinary approach to patient care and works closely with colleagues in orthodontics, endodontics and oral surgery to provide carefully planned, long-term treatment tailored to each individual patient. Patients appreciate his calm, straightforward manner and his emphasis on clear communication, transparent fees and thoughtful, high-quality dentistry. In 2024, Adrian took over Fourways Dental Practice from Hugh and Bridget Fletcher and is proud to continue the practice’s trusted family dentistry approach established in 1982.
Outside dentistry, Adrian enjoys travelling and has visited over 50 countries together with his wife, a pharmacist, with whom he co-owns Larkhall Pharmacy in Bath.
General Dentistry
Hugh D Fletcher
1982 was the year that Bridget and I opened the practice. Initially, we worked part-time, sharing one surgery. As patient numbers grew, we installed a second surgery, and Hugh worked full-time with Bridget three days a week. A third surgery was later added for the hygienist.
We never imagined that we would spend almost our entire careers in the same practice, but it proved to be such a wonderful environment in which to work. Our patients were lovely, and we had the privilege of caring for several generations of local families.
It was always important to us to keep up to date with developments in dentistry, and we attended many postgraduate courses both locally and throughout the country. We invested in new equipment and embraced new ideas to continually improve the care we provided.
During our time here, we carefully selected our staff, many of whom have been with us for years. Together, they became an indispensable and highly valued team.
We are delighted that the ownership of the practice has passed seamlessly to Adrian Bunescu and his team. I am pleased to continue working at Fourways Dental Surgery on a part-time basis and look forward to supporting patients for years to come.
Special Interest in Endodontics
Dr Mihnea Pintilie
Dentist with a practice limited to endodontics. Dr Mihnea Pintilie limits his practice exclusively to endodontics, providing advanced root canal treatment with a calm, precise and patient-focused approach. He works across practices in London, Somerset and at Fourways Dental Surgery in the Cotswolds, focusing solely on endodontic care and the management of complex restorative cases.
Mihnea developed an early passion for dentistry and became particularly interested in the precision and attention to detail required in microscopic endodontics. Since graduating from UTM University Bucharest in 2019, Mihnea has continued to dedicate his professional development to restorative dentistry and endodontics. He later became involved in teaching and mentoring dental students at his university whilst continuing to expand his clinical experience and advanced training. He is also a member of the European Society of Endodontology (ESE). Patients particularly appreciate Mihnea’s calm and reassuring manner, especially those who may feel anxious about root canal treatment.
He takes pride in creating a relaxed environment where patients feel comfortable and cared for throughout every stage of their treatment. Outside dentistry, Mihnea enjoys reading, travelling, visiting museums and discovering new experiences whenever time allows.

She also spent a number of years at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff, where she began her career in healthcare management. Patients and colleagues alike appreciate Christine’s warm, approachable manner and her commitment to ensuring the smooth day-to-day running
of the practice.
Outside work, Christine enjoys spending time with her new grandson and keeping fit, dancing with her local Lindy Hop group.

Unlimited emergency visits and 20% off treatment and necessary routine X-rays, excluding orthodontics and surgical extractions.
Children
Children aged 0–6 years old join free of charge to one adult plan.
Eligibility
Anyone who has had an examination in the last six months and no outstanding treatments can join the plan.
